Malibu Road is surrounded by outdoor adventure, from the beautiful beach steps from the homes to nature trails and mountain terrain east of the Pacific Coast Highway. Cameron Nature Preserve at Puerco Canyon has more than 700 acres of preserved land flowing into Corral Canyon Park and Malibu Creek State Park.
The nature preserve is a well-known area for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, with ocean views and gentle terrain in the coastal mountains. Malibu Bluffs Park is a small park between the affluent strip of homes and the highway. The park has well-maintained sports courts and fields, open lawns, jogging paths, and a community center with meeting space. The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District serves the community of Malibu Road. The district serves more than 9,000 students and offers a continuation high school, an alternative school, a project-based learning school, multiple preschool centers, and an adult school.
